The Hubei Jingzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Institute, relying on the industry-education integration ecosystem formed by the Yangtze River Art Engineering Vocational College and the Jinan Cultural Tourism Zone, strives to become the torchbearer of Jingchu culture.After conducting research and analysis on the intangible cultural heritage inheritance education of Changjiang Art Engineering Vocational College and the historical geography of Jinnan Ancient City, we adopted the educational philosophy of the renowned educator John Dewey, "School is Society", as the design principle - organically connecting the campus with the Jinan Cultural Tourism Area. Through the redesign of traditional ancient city architectural types such as workshops, markets, courtyards, gardens, and residences, we aim to create "a cluster of workshops with the spatial texture of a small town, providing a place for the exchange of ideas and techniques for ten thousand art students."

Considering the openness of the vocational college campus, we connect the intangible cultural heritage inheritance institute, teaching area, training area and master workshops. Through the study of the texture of ancient city residential buildings, the architectural layout adopts a small-scale and high-density arrangement to form a spatial structure similar to traditional workshops and markets, shaping a craftsman town that integrates living and learning.
