Fuzhouji Village Center

The Fuzhouji Village Center is located on the bank of the Liugang Village Reservoir. As a pilot project for rural revitalization, it aims to address local issues such as depopulation, aging, and a single industrial structure. The project site is surrounded by vast rice fields and residential villages. The building integrates humbly into the farmland landscape, preserving the original ridges and native plants. The form design draws inspiration from the surrounding environment, harmoniously echoing the natural scenery.

To meet the villagers' needs, the center has set up functional spaces such as a tea room and a children's library, making it an ideal place for villagers' daily activities. The building uses a low-carbon and environmentally friendly hybrid system of glued laminated timber and steel nodes. All the double-curved components are prefabricated in a digital modeling factory and precisely assembled on-site using a "wooden construction block" method, significantly reducing the environmental impact of construction.

The reservoir where the project is located serves the irrigation function for the surrounding farmland, and its water level varies with the seasons. Considering the rich waterbird habitat around the reservoir, the design adopts an environmentally sensitive generation logic: through digital terrain analysis, the building is integrated into the original embankment texture while the elevated base adapts to the fluctuating water level. The original plant system is retained as an ecological buffer zone, forming an organic transition between the building and the water area.

This design not only provides villagers with a multi-functional activity space but also serves tourists, activating the vitality of rural society through flexible space design. After the project is completed, it will attract more tourists, boost local economic development, and become an important link connecting traditional farming culture with modern rural construction.
